Background:
Bacterial infections of respiratory tract are very common diseases
in all ages of population worldwide. WHO has performed many
strategies in the treatment of this disease. In Myanmar, bacterial
infection of respiratory tract is one of the National Health
Problems.
There are potent antibiotics in Western Medicine but unfortunately
they have serious side effects. Scientists have reported the
effectiveness of herbal medicine in the combatting against bacterial
respiratory infections. The herbal medicines are as effective as
allopathic medicines, least side effects and inexpensive; besides,
they have less chance of emerging for resistant strains.
FAME Pharmaceuticals
has made many efforts to produce a potent herbal antimicrobial
agent, called nemoginฎ with the extracts and powder from Acorus
calamus, Alpinia galanga, Azadirachta indica, Desmodium triquetrum,
Phyllanthus emblica and Ginseng.
Composition:
Each caplet contains;
Azadirachta indica extract 60 mg
Acorus calamus extract 50 mg
Alpinia galanga extract 30 mg
Desmodium triquetrum extract 25 mg
Phyllanthus emblica powder 45 mg
Ginseng powder 40 mg
Active principle of
riemoginฎ : Piemoginฎ contains the active principles such as
alkaloid, flavonoids, triterpenoid and tannins.
Antibacterial
activity : Nemoginฎ has a wide range of antibacterial activity on
gram positive cocci such as Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus
spp.; gram negative cocci such as Neisseria spp.; gram
negative bacilli such as Conform bacteria, Haemophilus influenzae
and acid-fast bacilli such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Indication:
For the treatment of becterial infections of respiratory tract.
Dosage:
12 years and above - 2 caplets
under 12 years - 1 caplet,
two times a day before meal.
Duration:
7 days for the treatment of acute respiratory tract infection
6 months for the treatment of Mycobacterial infection
Caution:
Pregnancy, Iactating mother and children under 2 years should be
used under the supervision of physician.
How supply:
30 caplets in one bottle.

independently certified by BVQI under certificate number 182736, and
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) laid down by the Department of
