Alternative to psycho-pharmaceuticals (SSRI, MAOI)
Composition:
Each capsule contains extract of Hypericum
perforatum (St. John's Wort) 250 mg.

Pharmacological actions:
Hypericum has Selective Serotonin Reuptake
Inhibitory (SSRI) action and inhibits the activity of the enzyme,
monoamine oxidase (MAO), enabling the increased level of various
nerve-impulse transmitter critical to mood and emotional stabality in
the brain.
Indications:
Anti-stress. Mild to moderate depressive
illness. Hypericum has also been proven effectiveness in the treatment
of secondary symptoms of depression like headache, sweating,
palpitation, anxiety and insomnia.
Side effects:
The side effects of Hypericum are mild
when compared to the symptoms of depression. Some of the most
troublesome side effects of prescription antidepressants --reduced
sexual drive or impotence, adverse interaction with alcohol or other
drugs, dry mouth, and headache -- were not reported by patients taking
hypericum.
Advantages:

Caution:
In large doses (ie. 35 times greater than the
recommended dose for depression), there is a potential of phototoxicity.
Dosage:
One capsule three times daily for six weeks
minimal. (Only for patient over 18 years of age)

30 capsules in one bottle.
