Completec

(Complete Formula with Natural Antioxidants)

Antioxidants are substances (usually nutrients in foods and herbs) that can protect our cells from damage by counteracting a body process that is similar to oxidation (like rusting). Oxidative damage represents the dominant theory today for what causes aging and varities of diseases including cancer.
Antioxidants have the ability to neutralize free radicals, which are highly reactive and unstable molecules that cause cellcular damage. These destructive molecules may bond with and alter molecules, damage cells and tissues, and feed carcinogens. All of our cells are exposed to these toxic, obstructive molecular bits, which are the by products of external stress and exposures as well as normal internal process. They are constantly on the loose in our bodies. By some estimates, each of the 60 trillion cells in our bodies suffers 10,000 free-radical “bits” daily.
You can appreciate how sophisticated and powerful our bodies are to repair that much damage routinely. When our repair mechanisms don’t keep up, however, we run into trouble. Many scientists now believe that the havoc wreaked by free radicals is a factor in cancer and other numerous diseases, as well as much of the damage we attribute to “ getting older”.
Free-radical damage is accelerated by environmental factors such as diet, emotional stress, smoking, drinking, exposure to excessive sunlight, exposure to industrial processes, ozones, radiation, nitrates, exhaust and other chemicals and pollutants. Fortunately, there are ways to combat the damaging effects of these toxic molecular saboteurs. The best way is to avoid from above mentioned situations.
Another way to flight free radicals is with regular intake of antioxidant-rich herbs and foods. These appear to help our bodies resist, retard or defuse the effects of exposures we cannot prevent.
FAME Pharmaceuticals has produced an antoxidant supplement, Completec, for those who cannot regularly take the antoxidants-containing foods and those who do not know which antoxidant containing foods to be taken. The detail of the antoxidants of Completec is as follow:

Spectra of Antoxidant constituents :

Antoxidant vitamins and minerals : Vitamin-E and selenium (synergisitic together), vitimin-C & A, carotenoids, chromium and zinc are all free-radical scavengers that help block or repair oxidative damage blamed for unhealthy aging. Individually, they also supporrt or stimulate the immune system in various ways some against infection, others against cancer and degenerative disease. They are important for everyone, as we have emphasized, but they may be especially indispensable for people with diabetes. Therefore many of the complications associated with the diseases can be linked at least in part to oxidative damage, and such damage may even play a role in pancreatic breakdown itself. Apart from that, zinc is also involved in sperm formation and testosterone metabolism.

Co Q10 : Co enzyme Q also called Co Q 10 is a heart-protective antoxidant nutritent found especially high concentration in the heart and liver. The body’s supply of Co Q10 appears to decline with age as well as from a poor diet, stress and during infection. When the body fails to manufacture adequate level of Co Q 10, oxygenation of the heart and tissue as well as all repair processes may be impaired. Low levels are found in the majority of people with heart disease (as one of many factors) and may also be one of a number of elements involved in aging and the discomforts often associated with it.

Glutathione peroxidase : It is the primary water-soluble antoxidant and produced by the body from three amino acids found in food: glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine. It is an important weapon in the battle against free radicals. It recycles the oxidized form of vitamin C, restoring its antoxidant power. At any age, low levels of glutathione have been linked to disease and premature death. With the help of glutathione, the liver is able to handle the burden of thousands of potential toxins such as insecticides and drugs as body’s detoxifier. Recently, scientists found out that there were significant changes in the immune cells treated with high glutathione concentration of the older persons.

Lycopene : It is a form of carotenoids and may help protect against prostate cancer, one of the most common cancers among men (Six-year study of 48,000 male physicians done at Harvard Medical School). Researchers also found out that the women with the highest intake of lycopene had only one-fifth the risk of getting the precancerous condition of the cervix as compared to those with the lowest intake.

Pycnogenol : It is the strongest antoxidant among the natural compounds. It improves memory and concentration and are used to treat attention deficient disorder. It is powerful free radical scavengers that can boost the effectiveness of vitamin C. It regulates nitric oxide, a potent free radical that is a regulator of blood flow. It also prevents blood clots, protects against the oxidation of LDL cholesterol and lowers high blood pressure. Besides, it improves sexual function in men. It reduces inflammation and boosts immune function.

Quercetin : It is a phenolic antoxidant and has been shown to inhibit lipid peroxidation. The putative anti-ulcer and gastroprotective effects of quercentin may, in part be accounted for by this activity. In vitro and animal studies suggested that it inhibits tyrosine kinase and nitric oxide synthase, and it modulates the activity of the inflammatory mediator.
